摘要：

This article comprises a survey of non-surgical accidents to patients, staff and visitors. It is based on empirical data of the nature and extent of the accident problems, which are contained in 6 tables and 1 bar chart. The potential liability at law for the type of accidents occurring is discussed throughout as is the currently topical position of health authorities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. © 1979, The British Academy of Forensic Sciences.
