PHOTOREACTIONS OF 4-CHLOROPHENOL IN AERATED AND DEAERATED AQUEOUS-SOLUTION - USE OF LC-MS FOR PHOTOPRODUCT IDENTIFICATION

摘要
The flash-induced photolysis of 4-chlorophenol in water has been re-studied by HPLC and by LC-MS. Contrary to our previous finding, para-benzoquinone is absent from the photoproducts when molecular oxygen is totally removed from the solution. Some of the products under these conditions have been identified by the use of the LC-MS technique.
