CORIOLIS INTERACTION BETWEEN OCTUPOLE STATES IN EVEN DY ISOTOPES

摘要
The results of RPA calculations of the octupole states are used as a basis for a Coriolis coupling problem. Matrix elements «ngK + |J+|Kång are calculated. For collective states |Kång and |K + 1ång these nearly approach the spherical limit √(3 - K) (3 + K + 1). Inclusion of the Coriolis coupling improves the agreement between theory and experiment considerably. Particularly, it is able to explain the experimental B(E3) values. © 1969.
