The report gives the results of tests on blood grouping in 213 Maualy Bedouin [male][male], with 159 Akeydat [male][male] and 77 [female][female]. Significant differences were detected in the [male][male], though the tribes are of much the same physical type. A very large percentage of group O in both tribes is the most striking feature. The evidence suggests that, when foreign blood having high %s of group A and B is introduced into a pure group O race, the serology of such primitive people is more susceptible to change than is their somatology. Also that, when foreign bloods are introduced among pure group O people, the serology of the [female][female], like their physical anthropology, is less susceptible than that of the [male][male]. The writer inclines to the opinion that the Mediterranean people may, at one time, have been a pure group O race.
