摘要
Sr3IrCuO6 was prepared by solid state reactions and investigated by single crystal X-ray work (space group C2h6-C12/c1; a = 9.300; b = 9.717; c = 6.697 angstrom; beta = 92.15-degrees). The so far unknown compound forms a new structure type. Typical features of the crystal structure are isolated chains of alternate IrO6 octahedra and square planar CuO4 polygones. The coordination of Sr2+ can be described as a square antiprism.
