摘要
By examining images of grids as they fold and stretch under the action of two-dimensional maps, we determine the geometry of the maps and use this to study their dynamics and bifurcations. In particular, we explain important features of the complicated dynamics and rich bifurcation structure of a map designed as a model of two coupled neurons.
