摘要
Modifying the Yang-Mills field strength and using a recently proposed generalisation of the usual minimal coupling procedure allows a simple but non-trivial type of dynamic torsion to couple to all gauge fields in a consistent manner. This allows, for the first time, a framework in which no spinning particle is required to be exempted from feeling torsion. Apart from the introduction of a new scalar field, one may view the two modifications as being the replacement of the gauge coupling everywhere by a space-time-dependent coupling. In this sense we may say that we have torsion without torsion. © 1979.
