摘要
1. 1. Corn-oil feeding of laying hens previously maintained on a low-fat diet resulted in a substantial reduction in the amount of 1-C14-acetate incorporated into blood, liver and ovarian lipid, these changes being observed within 1 day of corn-oil supplementation. 2. 2. There was a rapid reduction in the activities of the enzymes acetyl-CoA carboxylase and citrate-cleavage enzyme in similar short periods of time. However, isocitrate dehydrogenase activity did not respond so rapidly to corn-oil feeding. 3. 3. These results are discussed in relation to the production of yolk lipid. © 1969.
