摘要：

The 48Ca/(total Ca) ratios of three natural materials, seawater, the shell of the hard clam, Mercenaria mercenaria, and human teeth, have been determined relative to that of a reagent CaCO3. The measurements indicate that variations up to 10‰ may exist and that metabolic processes may be active in fractionating the isotopes. © 1968.
