摘要
Proton transfer kinetics of some photoexcited sulfonated hydroxyaromatics have been evaluated in DMSO-water solutions. An empirical linear relationship between the logarithm of the dissociation rate constant and the mole fraction of DMSO has been established. An attempt has also been made to relate the dissociation rate constant to the activity of water with limited success. The association rate constant has been confirmed to be relatively independent of solution composition.
