摘要
A high-speed machine vision system is described that has been designed for real-time automatic inspection and qualification of "row" and "uni" textile materials. High computing power is required to process over 40 or 60 million pixels (bytes) in every second. This can only be achieved by careful selection of the real time inspection algorithm to analyze the texture obtained continuously from the web and directly implementing it into the hardware of the system. The criteria for algorithm selection is equally balanced between its error detection capabilities and easy implementation into special purpose high-speed hardware. Attention is also directed to hardware development and construction using high speed image processing and algorithm-oriented circuits. Pipeline operation of the hardware system will be emphasized.
