The copper isotope effect (Cu-63 - Cu-65) was investigated for oxygen-deficient YBa2Cu3O7-delta with transition temperatures between 40 and 91 K. The isotope exponent alpha(Cu) = Delta lnT(c)/Delta lnm(Cu) is negative for all transition temperatures. It is small, alpha(Cu) approximate to -0.14, in the 60 K plateau, and unobservable for T-C = 91 K. In regions away from these special conditions, alpha(CU) reaches large values of up to alpha(CU) = -0.4.
