SUITABILITY OF THE LOWEST 1-, T = 1 AND 1+, T = 1 STATES IN NE-20 FOR PARITY NON-CONSERVATION EXPERIMENTS

摘要
The properties of the 1-, T=1 state of Ne20 at 11278±4 keV excitation were studied by means of the O16(α,γ)Ne20 reaction. The level parameters determined for this state are not in complete agreement with those reported in a recent study. The implication of this discrepancy for the feasibility of a measurement of parity nonconservation in Ne20 is discussed. NUCLEAR REACTIONS O16(α,γ)Ne20, E=8.18 MeV; measured Eγ, I(γ); Ne20 resonance deduced excitation energy, J, π, ωγ0, T. Natural targets. Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) detectors. © 1978 The American Physical Society.
