A COMPLETE GUTZWILLER PROJECTION FOR QUANTUM HEISENBERG MODELS

We carry out a complete Gutzwiller projection on Schwinger boson mean-field states of quantum Heisenberg models. For the 2-d spin-1/2 antiferromagnet in a square lattice we obtain analytically a ground state energy of -0.3352J/bond. The spin-spin correlation length behaves as xi is similar to (J/T)1/2 exp (0.670J/T), with J congruent-to 1300 K fitting the neutron scattering data in La2CuO4 best. Furthermore, the resulting pp in the bosonic spectrum may be linear in T.
