摘要
The effect of nonuniform activity distribution in a solid-catalyzed gas-solid reaction under mass transfer limitations is analyzed. The theoretical analysis includes two models of the pore structure, diffusivity profiles and uniform, linear, and parabolic activity profiles. The results reveal that in gas-solid reactions, nonuniform catalyst distribution is detrimental to solid conversion and, consequently, efforts should be made to attain a uniform catalyst distribution. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
