Textbooks of ophthalmology generally give a detailed account of the underlying theory of retinoscopy. Such explanations together with the complicated diagrams usually accompanying them, are useful as reference material, but are too cumbersome to be remembered clearly for any length of time. For this reason we have drafted a simple, easily remembered explanation. © 1969 S. Karger AG, Basel.
