摘要
The retention mechanism involved in enantiomeric separation of binaphthyl compounds by HPLC with micellar bile-salt mobile phases is discussed. A new model for the equilibrium is proposed, in which a heterogeneous stationary phase comprising solvated and micelle-adsorbed portions is considered. The experimental data supported the adsorption of the bile salt micelles on the octadecylsilica stationary phase which could recognize the chirality of binaphthyl compounds.
