摘要
A simple force constant mode is developed and applied to the vibrations of solid on tin tetrabromide. Three intra- and four intermolecular force constants are adjusted to obtain the best fit to the crystal field splittings and lattice mode frequencies observed by Raman and infrared spectroscopy. Isotopic and molecular distortion effects are also investigated. The dependence of the Br-Br interaction on separation is found to be similar for SnBr//4 and Br//2.
