摘要
Evans, A. S (Dept. Epidemiology and Public Health, Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, Conn. 06510), J. Casals, E. M. Opton, E. K. Borman, L. Levine and R. R. Cuadrado. A nationwide serum survey of Colombian military recruits, 1966. I. Description of sample and antibody patterns with arboviruses, polioviruses, respiratory viruses, tetanus, and treponematosis. Amer. J. Epid., 1969, 90; 292-303.-A nationwide sample of 2,982 Colombia military recruits collected in 1966 from 15 induction points has been studied for various antibodies. Using a 10% subsample, hemagglutination-inhibition (HI) antibodies were found in 5.2% for Group A arboviruses, 23.0% for Group B arboviruses, and over 75% had HI antibodies to influenza and parainfluenza antibodies. Ninety % had precipitin bands in agar gel immuno diffusion tests for adenovirus. Poliomyelitis neutralizing antibody to all 3 types was present in 94% or more of the sera. Tetanus antibody determination by a passive hemagglutination test identified 63.6% at risk to infection. Treponematosis studies on the entire sample gave 5.3% reactive by VDRL test and 5.0% by the fluorescent antibody (absorbed) test. © 1969, by THE JOHNS HOPKINS UNIVERSITY.
