In the previous paper we reported Pd(II) assisted dehydrosilylation of silyl enol ethers leading to α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds, in which oxo-ύ-allylpalladium(II) complexes were proposed as key intermediates. In support of the reaction mechanism involving the oxo-ύ-allylpalladium(II) intermediate, we recently succeeded in the isolation of a stable 2-tert-butyl-ύ-oxopropenylpalladium(II) complex in the reaction of silyl enol ether of pinacolone with Pd11Cl2(Ph-CN)2. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
