摘要
Neodiprion excitans Rohwer females from Belize in Central America were not found to differ morphologically from females from southeastern North America, but differed in laying their eggs in rows in pine needles instead of singly as in southeastern North America. Fecundity was positively related to forewing length in newly-emerged females. Principal parasitic Hymenoptera from Belize included the egg parasite, Closterocerus cinctipennis Ash-mead (Eulophidae), larval parasite, Perilampus sp. (Perilampidae), and a cocoon parasite, Dibrachys sp. (Pteromalidae). The parasitic fauna and fungal pathogens recovered from Belize and previously from Florida were very similar, despite geographic isolation of their sawfly hosts. © 1979 Entomological Society of America.
