The parameters in the spin Hamiltonian for Fe3+ in rutile (TiO2) have been reevaluated using experimental data at 9.400 and 121.3 Gc/sec. With a Hamiltonian of the form H=HgS+D(Sz2-3512)+E(Sx2-Sy2)+(a6)(Sx4+Sy4+Sz4-70716) +(736)F[Sz4-(9514)Sz2+8116]+C[(7Sz2-354)(Sx2-Sy2)+(Sx2-Sy2)(7Sz2-354)] with g=2.0000.005, D=20.380.01 Gc/sec, E=2.060.01 Gc/sec, F=0.680.02 Gc/sec, a=-0.840.04 Gc/sec, and C=0.000.01 Gc/sec, the magnetic field strengths for ESR can be predicted within 1% or better for fields up to 12 kOe. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
