摘要
The inverse heat conduction problem is defined as one for which interior conditions are prescribed and the desired quantity is a surface condition. In the present work, the surface temperature histories for an infinite slab are evaluated using discrete and inaccurate internal measurements. The method of Backus and Gilbert is used to determine the resolving power of the measurements and the accuracy of the resulting surface temperature predictions. The trade-offs that exist between resolving power and accuracy are illustrated. © 1979.
