Reactions of oxygen atoms, part II. Relative rate data for the quenching of O(2(1)D(2)) using the OH radical as a spectroscopic marker

摘要
OH radicals, resulting from exothermic hydrogen atom abstraction reactions of O(2(1)D2). generated by the flash photolysis of NO2 and of N2O. with hydride molecules. have been monitored by kinetic absorption spectroscopy in the ultraviolet. The variation in the spectral intensity of OH( A(2)Sigma(+)<- X-2 Pi) in the presence of added gases has yielded relative quenching data for O(2(1)D(2)) with the species Kr, Xe, H-2. N-2, CO2, N2O ard CH4.
