INTERSUBBAND ABSORPTION BY PHOTOINDUCED EXCITONS IN UNDOPED MULTI-QUANTUM-WELLS

摘要
Using the photoinduced absorption technique we distinguish between free and imperfection-bound excitons in multi-quantum-well structures. We find that the oscillator strength for the free exciton intersubband absorption is ∼ 20, and deduce a coherence length of about 5 exciton radii. We estimate the density of the binding centers for the bound exciton to be less than 1 × 1010 cm-2. © 1990.
