摘要
In the Stock Market Game, teams of students buy and sell stocks using a hypothetical $100,000, seeking the maximum portfolio value over a ten-week trading period. The game is intended as an educational tool using the motivational value of competition among schools to introduce "both teachers and students to economic principles in an exciting, dynamic way" (Joint Council on Economic Education 1988, 3). Currently, decisions are being made about whether and how to use the Stock Market Game in classrooms. To assist classroom teachers and economic educators, we review the available information on the costs and benefits of the game and its use. We also examine game strategies through the economics of capital markets.
