摘要
An investigation was performed to ascertain whether the secretory rate of the parotid glands is constant with different stimuli or whether it is influenced by the stimulus applied. The result shows that the correlation coefficients between parotid flow at rest and during gustatory and cholinergic stimulation are either very low or even negative. It indicates that the underlying factors governing the secretion rate may vary in whole or in part with the applied stimulus. It means that results obtained from different sialometric methods are not always comparable. © 1969.
