CP NONCONSERVATION IN SUPERSYMMETRY WITH RADIATIVE QUARK MASSES

In supersymmetric extensions of the standard model, the neutron-electric-dipole moment is typically two or three orders of magnitude above its experimental upper bound unless the relevant CP-nonconserving phase is suppressed. This situation is highly undesirable, especially in models of radiative masses, in general, where the absence of small parameters at tree level is their raison dêtre. In this paper we identify the various sources of CP nonconservation in such models and present a possible solution which also gives the observed pattern of quark masses and mixing angles. © 1990 The American Physical Society.
