MULTIPLE ANGULAR-CORRELATION BETWEEN A LARGE NUMBER OF QUANTA IN COINCIDENCE POPULATED BY HEAVY-ION REACTION

摘要
The angular correlation function for the detection of an arbitrary number of quanta in coincidence is simplified for many cases which makes it possible to calculate explicit results. It is also shown that a semiclassical approach is exact for the detection of an arbitrary number of quanta at arbitrary spin values if all transitions involved are stretched. The results demonstrate the enhanced selectivity between different types of quadrupole and dipole transitions as a function of an increasing number of γ rays in coincidence.
