Thermophysical properties are central to process engineering design. In process flowsheeting these properties are represented by thermodynamic models, which are derived from a combination of theory and experimental phase equilibria. Phase equilibrium measurements on (methanethiol or ethanethiol or propan-1-thiol or butan-1-thiol + n-hexane or n-decane or toluene or water) have been made on a static system, at mole fractions 0 to 0.2 of thiol over a temperature range of 323 to 373 K. © 1990.
