PHARMACOLOGICAL DIFFERENTIATION BETWEEN THE CHEMOTACTIC FACTOR INDUCED INTRACELLULAR CALCIUM REDISTRIBUTION AND TRANSMEMBRANE CALCIUM INFLUX IN RABBIT NEUTROPHILS

摘要
Nordihydroguaiaretic acid selectively inhibited the chemotactic factor induced stimulation of Ca influx and increase in the steady-state level of cell-associated 45Ca observed in the presence of Ca in rabbit peritoneal neutrophils. Nordihydroguaiaretic acid did not inhibit the transient decreases in the steady state levels of 45Ca observed in the presence of low extracellular Ca or of low concentrations of chemotactic factors. Nordihydroguaiaretic acid apparently does not affect the intracellular Ca redistribution induced by chemotactic factors but rather inhibits the influx of extracellular Ca which accompanies stimulation.
