SEARCH FOR THE NEUTRINOLESS DOUBLE-BETA DECAY OF TE-130 WITH A BOLOMETRIC DETECTOR

The results of the Milano experiment on 0nu-betabeta decay of Te-130 which is undertaken in the Gran Sasso Underground Laboratory are presented. The experiment consists of a 334 g TeO2 crystal which operates at about 10 mK with an extremely good long term resolution. After 4104 hours of effective running, no evidence of the neutrinoless double beta decay of Te-130 has been observed yielding a lower limit on the process half-life of 8.2x10(21) years with a 90% of confidence level, which is about one order of magnitude more stringent than that obtained by geochemical measurements. This result confirms that the betabeta decay of Te-130 is dominated by the 2nu channel.
