A FUZZY APPROACH TO PEAK TRACKING IN CHROMATOGRAPHIC SEPARATIONS

摘要
Recognition of peaks in chromatographic separations is based on comparison of peak areas and elution order of peaks between the trial and a reference run. To account for the imprecision of peak areas, for the change of peak elution order, and for the uncertainty of overlapped peak areas, the method is based on fuzzy theory as a method that can cope with uncertain and imprecise data. The applicability of the method is demonstrated for recognition of chromatograms with several overlapped peaks as well as for identification of highly imprecise peaks from HPLC separations of vitamins by using binary and ternary mobile phases.
