摘要：

This investigation aims at a phenomenological description of the tensile properties of soft collagenous tissue. It is presented in two parts. In this first part, a mechanical model for the tissue and the mathematical expressions governing the behaviour of this model are considered. In the second part, experimental verifications of the model and numerical values for some of its parameters are presented. © 1969.
