摘要
Electron microscopy of human corneas revealed that large spaces (1μ to 5μ) developed between endothelial cells during incubation in a cryoprotective solution prior to freezing; the terminal bars, however, remained intact. After freezing and thawing, the spaces no longer existed and the intercellular borders were again closely apposed (200 Å). © 1969.
