摘要
1. 1. The oxygen consumption of frog sartorius muscle is increased by glucose and further stimulated by the addition of insulin, but it was not established that this is a direct effect of insulin on glucose oxidation. 2. 2. When both glucose and lactate are present, the muscle preferentially oxidizes lactate and preferentially synthesizes glucose to glycogen. 3. 3. Glycogenesis from either glucose or lactate is stimulated by insulin in the presence of the other substrate. © 1969.
