摘要
Foods designed to provide specific health benefits are already on the market in Japan and are likely to be approved for sale in the UK and other countries before long. There are concerns among some consumers about the acceptability and safety of such products. Health authorities will have to develop effective regulations to control their development and sale to ensure that consumers are not disadvantaged by their introduction.
