SULFUR-CONTAINING DERIVATIVES OF BETA-PHENETHYLAMINE - DITHIOCARBAMATES AND THIOUREAS

Ditliiocarbamate and thiourea derivatives of β‐phen‐ethylamine, β‐4‐aminophenethylamine, and their N‐substituted derivatives have been synthesized. 1‐Methyl‐3‐phenethylthiourea was found to lower blood pressure significantly in both hypertensive dogs and rats, and the dithiocarbamate of β‐phenethylamine showed hypotensive effects in the dog.
