摘要
Different methods for measuring the circular dichroism (CD) in the FIR region using a Martin-Puplett interferometer are analyzed by deriving the necessary equations. The commonly used rotating polarizer is not suitable for CD measurements. Mechanical chopper modulation requires the CD to be extracted through a sine Fourier transform, while using phase modulation CD is extracted through a cosine Fourier transform.
