摘要
A crystalline anhydride of citric acid has been produced for the first time. The compound was shown to be the unsymmetrical monomolecular anhydride. Details of the preparation are presented along with some of its chemistry. The rate of hydrolysis of the anhydride was found to decrease over the range pH = 1–6.
