摘要
When grown in media containing hippurate various moulds and a number of yeasts show hippurate hydrolase activity. The possible biological function of hippurate hydrolase in the degradation of hippuric acid, an excretion product of animal metabolism, will be discussed. © 1968 Springer-Verlag.
