EXCITATION-ENERGY RELAXATION AND DIMER FORMATION OF FLUORENE IN LANGMUIR-BLODGETT MONOLAYER FILMS

摘要
Picosecond time-resolved fluorescence has been studied with Langmuir-Blodgett monolayer films containing fluorene as chromophore, in the concentration range of 0.1-29 mol%. Two types of dimer emissions of fluorene were observed. They were assigned as the conformational isomers of fluorene dimers. The dominant energy relaxation pathway is an efficient energy transfer from monomers to dimers.
