摘要
The concept of a zero phase fraction line (ZPF line) has evolved from a study of phase fraction charts. The line for each phase divides a two dimensional phase diagram into two regions. On one side of the line the phase occurs while on the other side it does not. In order to demonstrate the ease with which a complex section can be treated, a diagram for an eight component system based on recent experiments. The fixed components in all alloys are Fe equals 62 wt%, Mn equals 15 wt%, Cr equals 12 wt%, Mo equals 2 wt%, Nb equals 1 wt%, while three variable components are Al, Si, and C such that Al plus Si plus C equals 8 wt%. The equilibrating temperature was 700 degree C. Forty five alloys were studied. Eleven phases were identified.
