摘要
In this overview on the high temperature creep resistance of austenitic heat-resisting steels, the main focus is on the creep resistance rather than on the rupture strength. The topics covered range from single-phase austenitic alloys without a second phase to multiple-phase austenitic alloys with precipitates. In the former category, the effect of the grain size on the minimum creep rate and the effect of subgrain evolution on the tertiary creep stage are reviewed. Then the solid solution strengthening due to both substitutional and interstitial alloying elements is discussed. In the second category, precipitation strengthening with an emphasis on newly identified intergranular precipitation strengthening is discussed.
