摘要
The problem of how to define a local observable in quantum field theory is reconsidered. It is shown that the additive c-number in the definition is uniquely determined by either a physical or mathematical assumption on the vacuum state. The two assumptions yield the same result. © 1969 Società Italiana di Fisica.
