APPLICABILITY OF THE DUBININ-ASTAKHOV EQUATION IN THE SORPTION SYSTEMS NORMAL-HEPTANE-SARAN CARBON AND BENZENE-SARAN CARBON

摘要
Sorption measurements in the systems n-heptane/Saran carbon and benzene/Saran carbon have shown that the data can be well described over the entire range of data by the Dubinin-Astakhov equation W = W0 exp [- (A/E)n]. Hereby, in both systems 2 < n < 3 was found. Because of the adjustability of the parameter n this equation has a broader applicability than the Dubinin-Radushkevich equation and, contrary to it, does not require the test as to pressure-depending validity ranges, provided data at high relative pressures are not taken into account. © 1979.
