Measurements have been made of the isothermal Joule-Thomson coefficient of methanol and of ethanol vapours at temperatures between 323 and 430 K and at pressures up to 80 kPa. The results are analysed in terms of association in the vapour and are compared with other thermodynamic data. © 1979.
