By applying the Hellman-Feynman theorem alone to screened Coulomb potentials, it is shown that the first four coefficients in the energy series as powers of λ/Z can be obtained from quantities of the unperturbed Coulomb system. © 1979, American Association of Physics Teachers. All rights reserved.
