摘要
In the present paper a general geometrical approach to revealing the effect of the electrical field structure upon the dissolving of metal electrodes is proposed. Electrical field characteristics connected with the change in its geometry are defined. These are the degree of field non-uniformity beta, the electrode polarity, and the relative length of the avarage vector tube alpha. The application of this approach is illustrated through the electrochemical dissolution of an aluminium anode in a 0.052 M solution of sodium chloride.
