摘要：

The effect of parachlorophenylalanine (PCPA) on the electroencephalogram (EEG) of cats, rabbits and rats was studied. The results obtained confirm the published data on the effects of PCPA on the EEG of cats and rats and show that an analogous increase of the desynchronization periods can be provoked with this drug in the rabbit. A series of trials were carried out in the cat and in the rabbit to ascertain if under PCPA there were any modifications of the EEG and behavioral response to various centrally acting drugs. The results showed that there are no substantial differences in the responses of normal and PCPA-treated animals to the administration of amphetamine, LSD, and 5-hydroxytryptophan. © 1968.
